The Wolf of Wallstreet and HBO’s Girls were noticeably absent from the 2014 SAG Awards this year. American Hustle on the other hand won outstanding performance by a movie cast. The competition for the top SAG award was intense this year, the other nominees included Twelve Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Cub, the Butler and August: Osage County. No mention of The Wolf of Wallstreet though. It’s almost as if the film didn’t exist. Leonardo DiCaprio was also snubbed, again– SAG did not nominate him for an award for his role as Calvin Candie in the ‘Django Unchained’ last year either.
