New York’s annual Flamenco Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The event will be held at New York City Center in the heart of Midtown. This year’s festival will include more than 80 flamenco artists from 16 companies with a stellar two week line-up of legendary and emerging stars hailing directly from Spain. The festival will kick off with “Gala Flamenca” on February 26th with Eva Yerbabuena, Manuel Liñán, El Farru and Juan Tomás de la Molía. The Gala is directed by Manuel Liñán, who also performs in a special performance created exclusively for City Center. Olivier Award winner Eva Yerbabuena joins El Farru as part of a legendary legacy of flamenco greatest performers along with rising star Juan Tomás de la Molía. This year’s 25th anniversary is a “don’t miss” event for anyone who appreciates the elegant and passionate art of flamenco. And you don’t even have to travel to Spain !
