I recently stopped by the Vera Bradley store in Soho NYC at 411 W Broadway. I’ve never been in a Vera Bradley store before but it really was an experience – a very enjoyable one! The colors are so vibrant & cheerful. The staff is so friendly. It’s a very happy place. Curious, I googled the brand and discovered an interesting history behind the brand. Personally, the travel accessories were my favorites, especially their makeup bags with clear panels so you can find things quickly. I also liked the Stylist Necklace Sets. Beyond that, it’s a matter of preference.
On February 13th we had the pleasure of kicking off New York Fashion Week Fall 2015 with the exclusive Lulu*s Style Studio at 404 NYC along with some of fashion’s top bloggers. We partied and shared our stories, favorite fashion tips, latest products and trends. Take a look below for some of the highlights from the event!
Lulu*s Style Studio offers a unique chance to sample some very cool products & have a great time doing it. I am a loyal Lulu*s fan and love shopping for clothing, accessories, shoes and beauty products on their website Lulus.com. A fashionista’s fantasy come true, LuLu*s coveted collection is outstanding– adorable dresses or sexy shoes, casual wear or black tie, walking in New York City or relaxing at a resort in Cabo San Lucas…LuLu*s has it all, and the quality is top-notch. This year’s event featured Rosebud Perfume Co. lip balm, makeup products from NYX Cosmetics, Sigma Beauty travel size brushes, Show Stop Shop Show Stoppers double stick tape, LÄRABAR® whole food bars, Bodyography Electric Lip Slide, Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex line, My Spa 2 Go, 100% Pure organic coffee bean caffeine eye cream, Lush fresh handmade cosmetics, the Balm cosmetics, Mink Pink, Tarte Cosmetics, Pama pomegranate liqueur, Red Bull energy drinks and an open bar sponsored by Hpnotiq. Plus there was a prize raffle giveaway table full of fun prizes including Chinese Laundry (Shoes), Ark & Co (Clothing), MinkPink (Clothing), Uber (Car Service), Shea Moisture (Beauty Products), and Woodzee (Sunglasses).
Guests were treated to complimentary manicures, massages and one item from Lulu*s Style Studio where they selected an item based on their personal style; the racks were filled with the hottest looks with something for everyone. One lucky guest went home with this great pair of peep-toe booties by Chinese Laundry (I believe they are the Jeopardy Mesh Bootie ). So jealous!
One blogger won a cute crochet dress I had my eye on by clothing brand Others Follow! White Crow and Black Swan had some great items & were quickly snapped up. I tried out the Rosebud Perfume Co. Brambleberry Rose Lip Balm — so perfect for the cold New York winter weather & it works (suggest trying it during the day & before bedtime to create lips soft overnight).
The 100% Pure organic coffee bean caffeine eye cream also came in handy the next morning, as did the NYX eyeshadow which is a personal fave. We also loved the Bodyography electric lip slide & the Shea Moisture body cream (made with organic Shea butter). And of course the fashion (Lulus, Mink Pink, Ark & Co, White Crow, Black Swan, Others Follow) — did we already mention that Lulus has something for everyone?
There were also Uber and LuLu*s gift cards! Guests lined up for a chance to win cool prizes while enjoying delicious treats & drinks. Definitely one of New York Fashion Week’s best events. Thank you Lulu*s and to all of the sponsors who participated!
